| 4 Months!
Today (October 22, 2009) I've been sober for 4 months! It's been 30 years since I've been able to say that. Every day keeps getting better and better! For all of you struggling like I was, just keep trying. I went from 12-18 beers per day, EVERY day, for several years, to NOT A SINGLE DROP in the past four months. All the cravings, anxiety and fear have left me and, while I've never felt better, I also never want to forget how alcohol nearly took my sanity and my spirit away for good. |

Congrats to you on your 4 months! This is really great!May there be many, many more! I am at four and a half months so I can relate to the anxiety and fear going away. Plus it's a time when all the positive changes become more and more tangible every day. I agree it is important ton remember the state we were in before these 4 months. All this is so worth it! |

4 months... impressive. as a perennial backslider, maybe i see 4 months as greater... but how can you deny its greatness? thank you for your words of support, too. i hope to one day be able to say i ain't touched a drop in 4 months... -TB, suitably impressed because it's impressive |
