Weekend One: Success...

Well, I made it through the 1st weekend. I went to stay at my parent's house, so I would be away from my usual drinking environment.

Visited friends & all. Told everyone I was quitting.

Off to a good start... Next obstacle: Overeating

Good to hear you had a sober weekend!

One day at a time, sobriety is possible... and it's so worth the effort.

Yeah, oddly enough, I didn't even miss it.

Strange...

Congrats.
I would get a few weeks sober before I worried about diet. (well actually I did wait a few weeks). In my opinion quitting drinking drinking is more important. But whatever works.

I probably will, but I like to think about it, anyway.

I have several problems, which drinking did not help.

Diabetes, Sleep Apnea, Depression, Overweight, and more.

Almost all are due to obesity. Funny thing is although I am technically obese, I am not just fat all over the place, ha ha. It's all concentrated in the gut & chin.

Thanks, all...

Weekend 2 is approaching and I will be at home, this time (can't run away every weekend).

I feel optimistic, though.

Good for you... we all know how hard the first few days can be. And also just... strange in a way- - doing different things, wondering and thinking about how it's going, etc...
