My HP has a funny sense of humor

This morning, as I do every morning, I prayed for guidance, strength, and direction.

In the last couple of days, I have:

Been with Mom & Daughters for B-Day celebration (Hers, not mine)

Taken my youngest shopping for her Homecoming dance and arranged for her dress, transportation, sleepover with friends (here), etc.

Told "Jeff", a newcomer, I'd take him through the steps.

Told "Eric", the same.

Fielded a call from my transient brother in law. He wants a place to live, which I won't do, but I did tell him I'd drive him to Salvation Army. I pick him up in a couple of hours and we'll prolly go after I take him to dinner & catch up on lost time.

This is besides going to work, meetings, walking the dogs, and other domestic stuff.

that's what i like about recovery / not drinking
i did quite a few things today, too
not as much as you
but
if i were drinking
it would have been only getting 3 things done
1 -drink,
2 -drink,
3 -drink some more

i like to read / hear at meetings the practical / reality side of recovery

GP it sounds as though your HP is giving you a sense of purpose also!!! Keep at it my friend, you are helping yourself by giving away freely what was freely given to you!
