| 2 Years
6 years ago today my son died and the spiral began. It was a dark and lonely journey to the bottom of the pitcher plant and need not be relived here. It's the journey out of the plant, a journey filled with hope and aspirations for a bright future that I find interesting now. It has been a long road with it's ups and downs, like life, but the ups went higher and the downs not so low when poison was taken out of the equation. My participation here has been light basically a post a month but it has been sincere. I am today 2 years sober. The greatest 2 years of my life. In a way I am 2 years old today because I was reborn when alcohol was removed. I think the final song should also be the first song I heard on day 2. It lifted me. YouTube - Default, Count on me I wish you all well in your journeys. I do sincerely hope your ups get higher as well. God bless. Andrew |

| 1000 days!
I am amazed. I knew I could do it but I look back 1000 days ago and just think about what I was and what sobriety has given me. Amazed. I am not exceptional in the least. Too all who give up remember there will always be hope. At 1000 days I thank Sir Allen Carr. |

Congrats on 1000 days that is truly inspirational. It took awhile for me to realize when the thread began but you always seemed so happy. Please share how you stay so upbeat. I am at 7 months and life is ok. Any tips -we could sure use some around here.

I see no difference now between a glass of wine and a glass of paint. Sobriety has given me countless rewards and it now simply a way of life and a better one at that. I will never go back .

Honestly I loose track. My last post says 20 months but it should be 34 I think. Hell, year 4 starts June 2. That date will live in infamy. I will never forget that night June 2, 2006 and my suicide attempt. My attempt to join my son. Never. The rise continues with incredible results. L'espoir continue, toujours! Hoffnungsleben! жизни надежды! Hope lives, always. Andrew |

My Avatar.... Mother Russia. The greatest battle ever fought with over 4 million dead. The world is shaped the way it is today because of that battle. It was the turning point in a seemingly completely hopless struggle. The battle was won at an incredible cost. My sobriety, my Stalingrad. Мы никогда не будем забывать |

Many Congrats, thisisme! And thank you for keeping this post going. It's amazing to look back at the dates and all your milestones! Mother Russia, really? Of much interest to me, I haven't been yet but one day... Much love, Lenina |
