I so remember that alcohol fog that blanketed my life. It took a little while to lift, but it definitely did. I had really bad short term memory loss when I first got sober. I think it took a several months to finally lift. I feel fine now, my hubby would beg to differ. He thinks I don't remember anything he says. I just have selective hearing. lol

Hang in there! Get sober first. let me know if you want to go the AA route would love to answer any questions and give you some online resources.

"For decades, neuroscientists believed the number of new cells, or neurons, in the adult brain was fixed early in life. Adaptive processes such as learning, memory and mood were thought tied to changes in synapses, connections between neurons.

More recently, studies have shown that the adult human brain is capable of producing new brain cells throughout life, a neurogenesis resulting in formation of hundreds of thousands of new neurons each month."
