AA pamphlet question

Hi,

Does anyone know if AA publishes a pamphlet to employers to give info about if an employee displays alcoholic behaviors and how the employer can help?
If so, do they usually have them at AA meetings?

Thanks in advance.

I would check the official AA website
I think they list the literature.

http://www.aa.org/?Media=PlayFlash

Each AA group decides what to order
from their Central Office.

I have not seen such info.

In the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous the chapter called To Employers, may be helpful.

that's a stretch
are you going to give an employer a pamphlet
about an employee concerning his alcholism?
what if the employer doesn't grasp it
and
just fires the employee?

it's a program of attraction
not getting an employer to send an employee to AA

are you the employer?
are you trying to get the boss to send another employee to AA?

the other posts are good
check the AA website

i don't think it would be wise to give an employer a big book
and
ask him to read "to employers" chapter
if anything
it was written 60 years ago
and
the workplace has changed

Heya Friend,

The pamphlet is titled:

Is There an Alcoholic in the Workplace?

Big companies have HR people that are familiar with "Employee Assistance Programs" that are designed to route employees with a medical condition thru the insurance and hospital process. In my experience a lot depends on how knowledgeable the senior HR people are about alcoholism in particular.

Could you be a little more specific about what you are trying to achieve?

Mike
