| Just Wanted to Congratulate You All!
I'm now 7 days off of my year-long daily hydrocodone habit. It's been hell, but I'm feeling strong. During my worst times, I thought about how much harder it must be for alcoholics. Maybe this is wrong/tacky to say, but for me to relapse means going through a lot of hurdles and it could take several days for me to get another prescription. In that time, I could clear my head and change my mind. I never realized before today just how hard it must be to stay off alcohol. It's everywhere. It's legal. It's pushed on you at nearly every social event. My habit was mine alone - no one I know uses hydros and no one knew I was using them. So, hats off to everyone here. You guys are a real inspiration. |

illbeback congrats on your 7 days! Addiction is addiction. Sure it's tough especially when you go to buy milk and right next to it is a nice bottle of wine. Ugh! But let's be honest... if we as addicts really want to use we plan for it and hoard stash all to make sure we have enough. You are doing awesome! Hang in there. Suga
