| a little update
I know I don't post here too regularly, but just wanted to update you all... things are going great for me! Last time (a month back) I was writing my step 4 and my head was struggling, well life looks very different now. I did step 5 with my sponsor shortly afterwards and that was very liberating. Everything it says in the big book was spot on, by the next morning I really did feel (and still do) that I am walking 'hand in hand' with my creator. The fears did start to fall away. It's very powerful stuff, this step program Anyway, I'm now finishing up my amends (though for me, the biggest by far were to my nearest and dearest and much of the amends will continue to be lived daily) and I guess, understanding and practicing step 10. I have absolutely no interest in alcohol, no cravings, no fighting it... it's just gone. It is AMAZING!!! Those promises... they are coming true ![]() I reached 4 months' sober on august 4 and and just keeping on doing what works, enjoying life, my program, my family, and everything else around me. I hope others are getting on okay too?

Thanks for the update Lucy. I so glad things are going well. The program does work if we work it. Just stay close to your sponsor and AA 'cause the disease is cunning, baffling, and powerful....remember? Just when we think things are going so well is when it's time to celebrate. Hang in there.
