| Who is......
your favorite circuit speaker? Why? I'll accept multiple answers, but let's try to keep it below 10 people......

Clancy I from Venice, CA. He never gives the same pitch twice. It's not a drunkologue, nor a sermon. He talks about how the program is working in his life today. 'course, I'm a little biased cuz he's my great-grand-sponsor :-) As far as the ladies you can't beat Polly P. Dunno where's she "from" this year. Used to be Texas, then Long Beach, then Seal Beach. Can't keep track of her I swear. Great pitch, right from the heart. 'course, I'm a little biases cuz we sobered up together many years ago and used to hang out a _lot_. Mike :-)

Thanks, guys! Father Martin, I haven't thought about him in a long time. I remember being in rehab programs and seeing a film or 2 of him speaking. I didn't want to think I was an alcoholic back then, just a problem drinker. Boy, did he make me feel uncomfortable! He must have been saying all the right things. I'll have to get a few tapes of him speaking. Yeah, Clancy I. I like his talks, he's my favorite. I like his observations and explanations of different aspects of alcoholism. They're original, make sense and really strike home. I like Dr Paul O a lot too for pretty much the same reasons. It's pretty cool that Clancy I is your great grandsponsor and that you can trace the thread of sponsorship back that far. At a speaker meeting about 4 years ago (my sponsor's birthday talk) we had a thread of 5 generations in the same room at the same time; my sponsor, his sponsor, his sponsor, a guy I was sponsoring, and me, plus horizontal offshoots. It was quite a crowd! Father Martin and Polly P, good! THat was one of my motivations for starting this thread, ideas on speaker CDs to pick up and you 2 gave me some good ideas, thanks!!!

Clancy I. (as long as he's visiting from outside the greater SoCal Area-otherwise 500 from his group show up at a 10 person meeting!) and Mark H. from Kauffman, Texas. Awesome.
