I made another amend today. The wonder of making an amend to a person who was once very close to you is astonishing. To be able to look a loved one in the eye and to admit fault and actually believe your proffered apology is unbelievably real. I have never experienced emotions like it - a true gift of this amazing program. much love JC

I am making my amends as well. I know I have to be careful, though, not to seek forgiveness except from myself. However, you are right. The feeling you get when you can look someone in the eye, admit your wrong-doings (most of which they already knew anyway), and show that you are ready to change is truly rewarding. It is difficult, yes. But also a true gift. With my family, for me, it was also opening the door for them to be able to speak openly with me about the pain I had caused. Thank God for this wonderful program!!!!

HI JaySee, The 9th step can be a wonderful experience when you do it right and that you truely mean it. I did my 9th step and there were people that i couldn't do in person because of death but i did them with prayer.
