| this tore at my heartstrings
I'm sure there are many of that can relate to this sad poem. I don't want to be in *nothingness* any more!!!!!!!!!!!!! For the Drunk in The Little Prince, who drinks because he is ashamed, and wants to forget that he is ashamed of drinking. It makes me sad, for some reason. I wish to be and live I cannot under this weight My heart no longer mine to give Nothingness is just too great. So I come to you again To quench my inner pain To drown the thoughts within From memories and shame. So I drink again, to forget My being and my name And I drink again, ashamed Of the drink I’ve come to get. |
