Patience, tolerance, acceptance
Patience, tolerance, acceptance
A prayer I use sparingly asks that I be given patience, tolerance, and acceptance. I use this sparingly because when I pray for such qualities, I am always given the opportunity to practice them. Like other spiritual qualities or virtues, they only develop through practice and repetition (in myself anyway).
This morning I find dusting off this prayer. For I know I am going to need these qualities at work today. An old conflict seems to be reemerging after it had seemed to go forever dormant. Another opportunity to let the Universe play out as It will. In fact, I have no other choice. But I can go kicking and screaming to this show. Losing both external and internal peace and calm. Or, I can be patient, tolerant, and accept that all the worlds indeed a stage and I merely a player. Not the Director. And lose just some external peace and calm.
Let me flow with the River today. Rather than swim upstream.
