hi, new here and i guess i need to jump in? i like the quote of the day. i have been involved with AA for about 18 months, but only have 6 months time. i am STILL having a hard time swallowing everything though. i am finally just begining to see the difference between going to AA meetings, and "belonging" to AA.

i want what AA has to offer, but the little monster living inside my head is angry it isn't getting it's way. This is such a powerful disease! Like a monster i must go to battle with every day. Quitting drinking only cut the monster's head off! The body seems to still be thrashing about refusing to give up.

everyone keeps telling me it will get better, but sometimes i am not convinced. i am glad this board is here, it has helped me out a lot already. Thank you all.
