Arrow Big Book Quote for 1/4/2013

*~*~*~*~*^ BigBookQuote^*~*~*~*~*

"God will constantly disclose more to you and to us. Ask Him in your
morning meditation what you can do each day for the man who is still
sick. The answers will come, if your own house is in order. But
obviously you cannot transmit something you haven't got. See to it
that your relationship with Him is right, and great events will come
to pass for you and countless others. This is the Great Fact for us."

I was always judging and trying to help others even when my relationship with God wasn't right. Needless to say it didn't usually pan out too well. Caused a lot of envy and frustration to me. I was definitely trying to transmit something I didn't have. Relationship with God and HP was definitely not something I was truly seeking when I first came into the rooms, but I have learned that without a relationship with God, for me at least, not too much progress will be made in my life.

Well put. This reminds me of the importance of what the Book tells us our job is. It says we must "fit ourselves to be of maximum service to God and our fellows." It doesnt say we need to "go out and be of maximum service to God and our fellows."
It is up to God to decide where and how I may be of service. My responsibilitiy is to make sure that my relationship with Him is right so I am fit to be of service when He needs me to be.
I can end up causing some damage going out and "forcing" my service on others.

Keeping my house in order is one of the most important things I can do on a regular basis. Without that, I cannot transmit nor be of service without causing some sort of breach. Great reading.
