I love this quote. It is said often in the meetings I go to.

Me as well. It cuts all the crap in between out. There IS no in between with God. Either you are going to trust him to guide you through life, or you're not.

When I first started studying the big book, in my early treatment days, I would deliberately skip this chapter, assuming that it had nothing to do with staying sober, and I probably wouldn't find much useful information in it. Oh how naive I was. Chapter 4 is my current favorite chapter. :)

I didn't necessarily skip this chapter I set out to disprove much that was written. I remember doing silly things, like I would be walking to a bar and so I would say, "okay God if you are up there and you have all power, don't let me walk into that bar and relapse?" I was looking for that burning bush, but was blind to all of the many miracles going on all around me. I chuckle at it now but back then it was really painful, and very self defeating to say the least. Have a great day all.
