My troubles were absolutely of my own making. Towards the end, though, I didn't see it that way. I blamed anything and everything on outside influences. If everyone would just act (this way), I would be fine and happy. I tried to forcefully exert my will onto every situation I was placed in. The universe pushed back with even greater force. The more I TRIED to fight things and get them to go my way, the more they didn't. Quite a frustrating scenario to be in.
Thy will, not mine be done, indeed.
Thy will, not mine be done, indeed.
And also, somewhere along the line, I somehow developed this childish impression that the world and life owed me something and I should be taken care of throughout life without having to work for anything. I also had this notion that life was supposed to be fair to me. I was the center of the universe. Didn't you people know that?!?!

I hated getting all beaten and bruised fighting for the center of the universe thank you AA for letting me out of that mess.
And 99% of any thing bad in my life , was because of me.. But thats now all okay. Its made me me, and now I get to work on just doing the next right thing..

What I need to remember is that this statement is in present tense. Not only were my troubles of my own making, but my troubles are of my own making. Putting down booze didnt change that fact.
Although Id take my troubles today over my troubles 5 years ago any day!
This is good news for us. If our troubles were of other people's making then we'd really be in trouble.
