Smile I came home and cried after my meeting today

I just wanted to share with you my feeling about AA

I have been sober for almost four months now. I attend meetings regularly. Today my lunchtime meeting was extra special for me. We had an impromptu discussion today on what the fellowship means to us as indivduals. The shares were amazing and really touch my heart and soul.
The descriptions of what AA means were breathtaking. It was summed up as 'my medicine' ' my recipe for life' 'what has made me grow up' on and on these thoughts flowed in the room.

I bounced home with my head buzzing about the wonderful fellowship that had entered my life and how my HP got me there and walked the path with me. I sat down with a cup of tea and took time to think about all that was shared, I smiled and then I cried - cried with happiness and relief to have all this as a foundation for my life.

I apologise if this post sounds corny or over the top or simplistic but I wanted to share my joy

Thank you taking the time to read this

I look at events like that as "presents" along the spiritual path. If I keep walking it, I keep running into new ones. I don't know when or how they're coming but I know they'll be there sooner or later if I keep going forward.........

Good for you and thanks so much for the reminder.
