"Social distinctions, petty rivalries and jealousies—these are laughed out of countenance. Being wrecked in the same vessel, being restored and united under one God, with hearts and minds attuned to the welfare of others, the things which matter so much to some people no longer signify much to them. How could they?"

A Vision For You

I think it means the petty stuff is not so important anymore...our common welfare comes first.

I think it means the "win no matter what" mentality is no longer possible.

It reminds me of this total psychic shift God pulled off in my head - being reborn - coming out changed (even though my false ego wants to thing I change myself).

An amazingly big part of my recovery, and a constant source of humor for me, is noticing all the changes (especially in my thinking) that have happened in my life.
