"any length" is referred to earlier in the chapter "How it Works." Quote:
The Sixth Step amends has meant jail to some. Applying an living the Steps in our lives has meant lost relationships (friends/family) to others. There are many times when the application and living of the steps brings us to the place where we can feel there is an "easier, softer way." Those that follow that way may have a difficult time finding a spiritual awakening. Going to "any length" in working the steps is the process that brings to light the "promises" of A.A. which bring us a new freedom and happiness. This has been my experience, strength, and understanding of the passages involved. What are yours?
