| What a rush. . . .
Someone called me from THE NEWCOMERS PACKET. OMG! What a rush. I remember never picking up that phone cause I thought everyone was full of crap when they said they liked the calls. Guess what? "They were not lying to me!" And my light bulb goes on over my head. I got a call at night off the "Newcomers packet, took them to a meeting and they got a temporary sponsor. And I was on cloud 9. What a rush. Who would have thought no one was lying to me when they said they put those numbers on there for a reason. Today I am truly grateful for everyone in the program who dealt with my BIG FAT EGO. I wish I would have been so brave. Probably wouldn't have taken me 20 something or more years. It is really cool to be of service work. Have a blessed day today. Keep it groovy and most of all keep it simple. |

| Thankful for our Veterans |
I had a d.l. coming into AA so, I didn't have to rely on anyone. I did make friends quick at the meetings and we'd pile in a car and hit out of town meetings. Seems to have worked for me and the other people that got sober with me!
