FRom one hardliner to another congrats, although it is always odd congratulating someone who knows they have little to nothing to do with the fact they are sober today. Maybe a better shout out, would be, way to stay conected to God.

Happy belated birthday! Mainly we're just looking for an excuse to get a piece of cake.

Thanks a lot everyone. I had been meaning to do something about my drinking since about 1977 when it became painfully obvious that somehow my drinking was different than everyone elses. Towards the end I had driven by the AA meeting here in town on a monthly basis but never stopped in. Actually there's two meetings here but one is at noon and I have to work. I don't know if it was fear or the fact that I didn't rally want to quit drinking that kept me from going in. Probably both.
It was one of those meetings that if they were MOTR it would be a tremendous improvement. Fortunatley I tried a few more meetings in neighboring towns and quickly outgrew that group. The results could have been the opposite and I could have gone back to drinking.
Anyways, enough about me. Thanks again everyone.
