| The Power To Do Nothing
What if I looked at my life with fresh eyes this morning and made one more affirmative decision to not attempt any exercises in power just for today? Zero, none, nada. What would it be like? Who would bail my ass out of issues, situations, disagreements and so on, who would make decisions? What if I lived today without any rudder at all? How would I make it through the day?

I suspect your day would not go well, when I propel myself around without God in the picture, without formal prayer and meditation, without incorporating steps 10-12 in my walking around moments, my days are rough. I end up jammed up, owing a ton of amends, and living the bedevilments on page 52. This happens from time to time, it is in reflection that I recognize that it was ony grace that spared me from the strange mental blank spot that says, a drink would be nice. Let's trust God today Ron. |

Thank you Rob and yes this is what I thought as well. I do like to look at the practical approach to living free today and the "how do I do it" is so much easier. Good to hear from you my friend!

I think I'll let God do the driving today, I'll just enjoy the ride. It's been a wonderful journey for the last few years, why change?

Why drive? Half the time I mess it up even when I get it right doing it my way.

I love this thread, Rufus. I had to open the book for this one - "most good ideas are simple, and this concept was the keystone of the new and triumphant arch through which we passed to freedom. When we sincerely took such a position remarkable things followed." In seriousness, im learning to breathe between impulse and action. By God, theres AIR! | |

When I posted this thread I was having one of those conversations with self. This for me is a good way to look at what I am saying to my new man.
