| I am going to quit
I want to quit. I want to quit so bad. My name is Amber and I hav been an alcoholic for 7 years. I live in a small town - 300 people - too small to have support. I need help. I live in South Australia. I went to an AA meeting once and a wonderful lady took me under her wing. She gave me her number. I was scared by AA and what my family and friends would think so I hid the booklet. So well that I can't find it. I'm so scared to be sober. But I'm more scared to be drunk. Please, if there is anyone in south australia get in touch with me. |

Forever check out this link Alcoholics Anonymous - Australia AA was the solution for me and many others, here is the link to the Newcomers section of that site Alcoholics Anonymous - How to contact A.A. it gives phone numbers for different areas in Australia. I found face to face AA to be best for me, however there are online AA meetings as well, they even have them on this site as well as chat. I am sure that you will be able to hook up with someone where you are at with the links I provided. Please let us know how things are going, hang around, ask us questions, we will be more then happy to annswer them. BTW my name is Martin and I am an alcoholic, welcome to SR.
