WOW!!!! Giving it away and still getting back!

I just got off the phone with one of my newer sponsees, he will be getting his restricted license back in 2 days! He picked up his one month chip last month and is doing well. I hooked him up with a lawyer in the program last week and he called me after getting out of court this morning!

I can not get over how happy I am for him, all I did was to share what was so freely given to me with him, we have gone through steps one and 2 and are working on 3 now. His joy really makes me happy!

I actually feel kind of silly...... Thankful he can share with me his joy!

Just one alcoholic helping another, and the really neat thing is that it is a 2 way street, he is helping me just as much if not more then I am helping him. Part of that "We" spoken of.

It maybe "to see a fellowship grow up around you..." ????

Life will take on new meaning. To watch people recover, to see them help others, to watch loneliness vanish, to see a fellowship grow up about you, to have a host of friends -- this is an experience you must not miss. We know you will not want to miss it. Frequent contact with newcomers and with each other is the bright spot of our lives.

Liz I beleive this is what you are refering to, one of many promises that have come true.
