![]() I'd like to first say Congratulations Grandpa. Yesterday was my birthday and I can't find the words to express how great it was to wake up this morning without being sick as hell, head hanging in the toilet, shaking, dry heaving, head pounding . . . I remember everything, even all the bad jokes my son told all evening about how old I am now. The greatest Blessing is having my Son living back home with me. He was about 11 years old when he moved in with his Dad and by the time July of '05 rolled around, I hardly ever saw him. He didn't want to watch me slowly dying. Today, I don't even mind having him coming in the door from work, forgetting to take his work boots off and leaving car oil on the carpet, his uniform smelling like an engine on the floor in the bathroom or him wiping his dirty hands all over my new towels in the bathroom. Just don't tell him I said that. lol Thanks for the good feeling thread. God Bless, Judy

Last Wednesday I had a phone call from each of my 3 adult children. They were all sober and enjoying life. It's the first time since I found recovery that they each called in a single day without drama and they needed nothing. That made the day special....

Sobriety Rocks!!!! Friday Ethan Michael Price was born, my 8th grandchild, the 6th one that has never seen me drink!!! It is awesome to be welcomed and not dreaded when I show up for family affairs now. Did I mention my son has been sober almost a year now!!!! No active alcoholics in the family right now.
