| Happy Summer Happy Solstice Sober Things to do on the Summer Solstice Summer Solstice, sometimes known as Midsummer, or St. John's Day, is a celebration of the longest day of the year and the beginning of Summer. It is traditionally a festival of community sharing. Celebrate Solstice time sober-- take part in a gathering or some other festival happening with other sober folks. Drink Sun Tea or Lemonade with fresh mint leaves. Get outdoors and connect with nature at the shore or in the woods or at the very least in a city park. Go to an AA meeting and shine your own light on a topic related to joy. Make a pledge to the Earth of something that you will do to improve the environment and then begin carrying it out. Have a happy meal or gift exchange with friends. Burn a Summer Solstice bonfire. Exchange songs and stories with others in person or through the mail. Stay sober and Enjoy!!!   |
