In casual conversation, I mentioned to my wife that I should call my sponsor and let him know about my busy schedule for the next few weeks.

She smiled and asked me to tell him that he is doing a great job.

The most incredible words I have heard in my recovery so far.

Two quick things. First I'm glad to hear your wife sees the changes in you, the recovery in you. She's not the only one. Second I sure am glad your sponsor has managed to knock some sense in you. A regular miracle worker that one is.

Gravity I must say like others here, I have truly found joy in watching your growth, you bring a smile to my face.

My wife came to an open speakers meeting with me yesterday, this man had a very moving story that had more then one person wiping tears from thier face, as I was wiping my own I noticed my wife was doing the same. After the meeting, the speaker, my wife and I were speaking outside, all three of us were praising what AA, the steps, and the fellowship had brought to our lifes. It was one of the more loving moments in my AA adventure.

I had a similar experience on mother's day. My mom said that greatest mother's day gift of all was me being a happy and functional person. It was amazing :-)

I can see such a difference in my relationship with not only my wife and kids but in all those I deal with on a day to day basis. There are so many blessings to be found in sobriety.
