| What are we doing when....
we spend our time taking stabs at people places or things? Are we trying to feed our ego's when we spend our time taking stabs at people places or things? Are we simply bringing our resentments out there for all to see when we spend our time taking stabs at people places or things? Are we helping others by expressing our opinions as if they were a result of our experience when we spend our time taking stabs at people places or things? What are our motives when we spend our time taking stabs at people places or things? I really wonder why we spend time taking stabs at people places or things? Is there a reason?

I don’t know what you mean by stabs Taz. I think this word means different things to different people – or at least what you may consider a stab, I may not, and vice versa. I do know that I love discussion, and I love the detail of language, while others do not. I like thought provoking discussion, as do others on this website. Sometimes people’s egos become invested in such discussion and the discussion degenerates into jabs or stabs. I try not to let my ego into these things, but as a human being, it happens. I don’t think there is much value is in "jabbing," except that it reminds me that I am human and flawed. I think there is value in the often passionate discussion that may lead to jabbing though. Still, others may revel in jabbing. I know I enjoyed it one time, and may even enjoy it in a moment of anger these days. But when I am aware of it, I realize that it costs me in terms of energy and relationships. That’s just my opinion. |
