| AA's three mottoes From the last paragraph of the chapter "The Family Afterward" Quote:
"Live and let live" reminds us that patience and tolerance of others is our code. "Easy does it" suggests to us that recovery takes time and that we should patiently persist in practicing spiritual principles. What do these three mottos mean to you?

Here's my take on these mottoes for a long time now: "First Things First" Keeping my priorities in order: HP first, Then me, Then those around me in order of importance to me. "Live and Let Live" Keeping my side of the street clean. "Easy Does It" Stop analyzing the chit out of everything and do the 'next right thing.' J M H O works for me. Love and hugs,

First Things First - faith in God's Grace on a daily basis, first priority to keep sober, asking God on a daily basis to keep me sober, that's what I need First - God's power, his will in my life and my sobriety to be able to actually do anything about it at all! Live and Let Live - Judge not lest ye be judged. Do not look to criticise faults of others, always look for the good. God says Vengeance is mine - our role is to love one another. Easy Does It - lay off on those old expectations they just lead to resentments! Be grateful, be easy on others, don't be too hard on yourself it's a long journey and not everyone receives the grace to do it.
