Arrow step 10 - daily inventory

Do you use a form to do a daily inventory or do you do it more informally in your head? I think it would help me to use a form right now as I am trying to make it a habit but I am having a hard time finding one. If anyone knows where I can find one, please let me know.
Thanks! Hope.

Hmm...
I don't know of any ...perhaps someone else will.

What I do is mentally review my day
beginning with my morning actions.
I then move into afternoon and evening.

Then I can see what I need to correct
and ask God for guidance.

Blessings

From Alcoholics Anonymous, pg. 84

This thought brings us to Step Ten, which suggests we continue to take personal inventory and continue to set right any new mistakes as we go along. We vigorously commenced this way of living as we cleaned up the past. We have entered the world of the Spirit. Our next function is to grow in understanding and effectiveness. This is not an overnight matter. It should continue for our lifetime. Continue to watch for selfishness, dishonesty, resentment, and fear. When these crop up, we ask God at once to remove them. We discuss them with someone immediately and make amends quickly if we have harmed anyone. Then we resolutely turn our thoughts to someone we can help. Love and tolerance of others is our code.

I have no one to discuss them with. Should I phone every night at bedtime? Sometimes that is really late.

I do my step 10 in my head at night, just prior to giving thanks to my Higher Power.

I have a friend who fills out a form.

Both of us base ours on pg 86 of the Big Book

Quote:
When we retire at night, we constructively review our day. Were we resentful, selfish, dishonest or afraid? Do we owe an apology? Have we kept something to ourselves which should be discussed with another person at once? Were we kind and loving toward all? What could we have done better? Were we thinking of ourselves most of the time? Or were we thinking of what we could do for others, of what we could pack into the stream of life? But we must be careful not to drift into worry, remorse or morbid reflection, for that would diminish our usefulness to others. After making our review we ask God’s forgiveness and inquire what corrective measures should be taken.
Whatever works best for you.

The 10th Step is about what I do throughout the day. At night I do the 11th Step review. I write it out using the 11th Step "retire at night" questions found in the book.

You can see where they tie in together, one compliments the other.

I write in a journal every night and I also review things in my life related to the 10th step. I write about situations that triggered character defects, how I am doing with my character defects, if I was wrong and owe and amends, that sort of stuff.

I find speaking to the God of my understanding aloud about my shorcomings helps air my thoughts and convictions. To keep something I am trying to rid of and be forgiven and corrected for should leave my thought life and be aired in order to get rid of them. I confess my faults alout as often as I can and be done with them.
