I came across this in my copy of the Independent today, and it made me laugh. Thought fellow AAers might giggle too - scroll down to the part of Deborah's column headed "Love in the time of self-help"

This would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic.

The article mentions Britney Spears "Stepping out with her former Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor," when in fact the guy was her counselor in treatment.

what the article says, Jim, is that Britney has been reported, probably falsely, of stepping out with her sponsor.

So the article is right.
