Exclamation Daily Reflections...Shares Welcomed

*~*~*~*~*^Daily Reflections^*~*~*~*~*

KNOW GOD; KNOW PEACE

It is plain that a life which includes deep resentment leads only to futility and unhappiness. . . . But with the alcoholic, whose hope is the maintenance and growth of a spiritual experience, this business of resentment is infinitely grave.

ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS, p.age 66

No God;
No peace.

That is so true, I can't stress it enough; no matter how many times I've read that line every time I read it again it is completely fresh. My resentments are like a chain that kind of goes a way back, and it seems like sometimes people just put a new link on the chain. As I have grown to understand people and human behavior more I now understand a little better why people sometimes act in strange ways. I've just been through a very strange experience with this and it's yet another lesson in watching people and learning about why we do what we do. I've learned some lessons in not setting myself up for resentment by being wary of certain personality types, and I've learned that pity is more appropriate than resentment in a lot of cases because it's sad people have to act the way they do, that they don't see any alternatives. Not pointing fingers without looking at myself, just saying that I've learned a bit here lately when before I did have to go through a bit of resentment, I think now I've gained a little bit of wisdom. I do want to work on this more though
