I want to begin public groups, is AA the only one? Is there a place for those of us that are more comfortable in small groups. I am ready to get started; I am covered with bruises from my last drunk, which is not uncommon for me. I fall all over the place and never remember exactly what happened. ~Too Much |

Hi Too, There are many different types of meetings, big and small. Why not try a small AA meeting? A call to your local AA group office would be a great start. Look in the phone book or online here http://www.alcoholics-anonymous.org/...Office/co.html

Toomutch not sure what area you are in, but where I live most of the meetings are pretty small, some of them with as few as 6-8 people, average size I would say is about 15-18, we have a few meetings that have between 50-100 folks attending, but those are usually speaker meetings.

Have you thought about AA big book meetings and step meetings? Those are where the book is passed around and read from and they discuss the reading after and they are usually smaller than regular AA discussion meetings.
