I first contacted AA in 1962. The finest and most influential men I have known have been members of AA. The program, thru them, has molded my life. Sometimes I reflect on those, now long gone, that have been such a help.

I had to be taught what good character meant.

As I look at the present membership, I see that there are just as many, if not more fine examples for the new mwmber. The kids that came in last nite looking so scared and afraid will have the same great opportunity I have had. I am grateful for that.
