What was your Favorite Retreat Topic? - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

Hi, newbiw here. Not new to recovery. I am on a committee that hosts a 12 step retreat for men in North Eastern Ohio.

We are in serach of topics for break out groups. Most of the attendees have been coming back for the last 15+ years.

What was your best retreat exp and why?

I do not know the term "break out groups"
nor have I ever been on an AA retreat.

I do find interesting topics for open discussion at
AA Online...the source I use for posting daily here.

I do hope other members are better informed than I.

I have been on a couple of retreats though they are focused on steps 3 & 11. I found the step 3 workshop very useful, as it helped to hear the experience of the oldtimers and to really discuss how to apply it in our daily lives.

Also, meditation groups tend to be popular in my experience.
