| it's over, it's finally over
OCT 26 2009 at the age of 49 my dad passed on. the thing about this is from everything I was told this was not drug or alcohol related, he had been clean (with the exception of a VERY brief relapse 2 summers ago) for most of the past 5 years. Apperently he was walking home from work and just....died well either way I am lost for words but either way RIP dad, love you, miss you |

I sorry you lost your dad. It sounds like you had a number of good years with him. Treasure those. I lost my dad 20 years ago, and I was just starting then, I think, to develop a real relationship with him after many many years of alcohol abuse. Take care. I found that talking to others is the best way to get through grief.

Thank you King, for sharing that. I am sorry you lost your Dad so young. I know my Dad is not going to make it much longer.

I am so so sorry TheKing. I understand that you must feel terribly conflicted right now - happy there is no more drama, but grieving the loss of the man who will always be your Dad. My thoughts are with you. Wish I knew what more to say xxx |
