I came here needing help dealing with something else, and saw a place where I can be a helper!
I quit smoking 8 months ago (was a smoker for 11 years)
Jackson, there's so much you can look forward to. Somethings that I experienced.
1. Those hacking morning caughs. Completely gone after 2 months for me.
2. Feeling that I've got a lump I can't swallow in my throat (about 1 month for me)
3. Better skin. This was so cool for me because I always thought I had good skin until about 3 months after, people were telling me that looked like i was glowig. I can tell now, my skin feels really hydrated and dry bumpy patches under my arms are completely gone.
4. I couldn't run a mile ever - even when I was younger. Just as an experiment, I began jogging about 4 months after I quit. I started off making the half mile mark the first month. Each month I did a little more and now I am upto running full 3 miles without stopping. Gave me a new goal this year - to be able to run 6 miles. This was great because I gain about 10 pounds after quiting, and since I started running, I lost it and another 10 pounds on top, so now i feel healthier and look better too.
I hope you get to experience these soon. Congratulations!!
