Thank you all for your responses! I think it just feels better when I reach out to others in a safe environment where I don't feel like I will be judged and found lacking.
I will talk to my doctor about lexapro, and do some more research on CBT. Until then, I will probably make an appointment with the therapist I keep cancelling with.
Out of curiosity, has anyone experienced benefits from yoga and/or meditation? It's a somewhat random question, but it's something I'm considering.
