I think it was a couple months before I started to notice major changes. When I was out on a walk one day, I realized my leg muscles were tired but that I wasn't even out of breath. Not long after someone commented that I looked more relaxed and younger. And of course I noticed when my full sense of smell returned. Smoke didn't smell different to me for several months, and then all of sudden, it smelled terrible. That felt like a milestone.
