I have no experience with 5htp.I do have experience with anti depressants,including Zoloft.I would strongly suggest that you not do anything without your doctor's approval and supervision.If cost is the only factor,you may want to talk with your doctor.Sometimes they have samples of medication that they can give you.I go in every month and get my medication this way,and they don't charge me for it.You may just need to make them aware that the expense is a problem.It can't hurt to ask.In any case,please be very careful....and be sure to follow your doc's advice.
