Today I am grateful...

I just want to say how grateful I am for my recovery and how AA has helped me. I have read in some other forums that some people are very anti-AA and I don't quite get it. I have been to several AA meetings and have found that I don't like them all, but have finally found 2 that I feel are a "fit" for me.

I feel bad that some people have found negative experiences in AA or perhaps, haven't given it a fair chance and feel the need to be "anti-AA" in stead of just "it's not for me". I know it is a program of attraction and not promotion and I hope that I can live a life that some day someone will want what I have -- first and foremost, sobriety AND happiness!!

I don't believe that AA is the only way to stay sober, I just know that I like the fellowship that I've found in it and in SR too. It's not my only support in my recovery, but it sure it an important part.

Just my 2 cents worth.
