Hi Indigo

I have been doing a ton of research on Tramadol. I was given some for pain relief and have never felt better as far as my depression being lifted.

So I did extensive research on Tramadol as an antidepressant. There are a lot of people that it is the best antidepressant they have ever taken.

The "experts" say that chances of addiction are minimal, but IMO if a person has a leaning towards being addicted to opiates, well then Tramadol will be no different.

The FDA has approved the ER(Extended Release) of Tramadol in 100, 200 and 300 mg. sizes.

Most research has shown Tramadol to be a very effective pain reliever, but the jury is still out about Tram as an antidepressant.

I think it has the ability of an SSNRI, which is different then the regular SSRI's namely Prozac, Paxil, Zoloft etc.

I am seeing a psychiatrist for help finding the right medication cocktail for my constant depression/anxiety feelings.

I will ask about the Tramadol and get back to you. Mike
