I was on trazadone and had very good response to it at 50mg. Well, until lately, when the stress just went too high. I have been on it in the past too.
I was one who never took it on a daily basis. I took it when needed. So, I never suffered rebound insomnia.
I learned to take the dose 10 hours before I wanted to wake up. That does away with the next day groggieness.
I've been on Lunesta, and don't recommend that at all. It is advertised as no problem, but, it causes addictive behavior and it also causes rebound insomnia -- when you read the small print. Also, I was yawning the next day, every time I took it. Didn't like it at all.
I'm now taking seroquel - 25 mg. I'm not sure how I like it yet. I only started a few days ago. But, trazadone, I didn't have a problem with until my stress level became too high. I would take it in a minute -- 10 hours before I wanted to wake up.
