If you don't take that first drink, you can't get drunk. As heard in AA meetings. Also heard in meetings ... you won't know what happens to people who don't go to meetings if you don't go to meetings!!
For me ... the solution would be to run, not walk, to a meeting ...
Whatever you decide ... I echo what JustMe said ... DON'T DRINK!! ...
