Did you stop taking the Paxil on your own, or did your doctor ok it? I would hope that you were slowly weaned off of the Paxil, over a course of a week to several weeks depending on how long and how high of a dose you were taking. If you stopped taking it cold turkey, then yes the side effects you are describing are normal. It can be very dangerous to stop any medication without first being weaned off, however it can be even more dangerous when dealing with psychotropic medications such as Paxil.
When do you see your doctor again? Will you see him/her on Tuesday when you will be starting your new medications? I would strongly recommend you keep in touch with your doctor and make sure they are aware of your symptoms.
