Hi... For me it was important to realize that I have both bipolar disorder and alcoholism. For years I struggled with this reality and went from treating one or the other but not usually both together. I now know that I have to have a program for both and especially for the alcoholism. I am pretty well stabalized with the help of lithium and I am able to focus on my program. This is a lot to be dealt but I have to treat both in order to have a good quality of life for myself and those around me.
