Hi all, some good poems here.
Sorry moderators, I lost the web ID this was from, feel free to remove it if I made any copywrite infringements.

Here is my collection of inspirational poems. I put_the shorter poems on banners and place them on Web sites worldwide.

This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
Some momentary awareness comes
As an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows,
Who violently sweep your house
Empty of its furniture,
Still treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
For some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
Meet them at the door laughing,
And invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
Because each has been sent
As a guide from beyond.
Rumi

And we are put on Earth a little space, that we may learn to bear the beams of love. William Blake.

Be patient with all that is unresolved in your heart
And try to love the questions themselves.
Do not seek for the answers that cannot be given
For you would not be able to live them.
And the point is to live everything.
Live the questions now,
And perhaps without knowing it
You will live along, someday into the answers.
Rainer Maria Rilke

Why, then have to be human?
Oh, not because happiness exists,
Nor out of curiosity…..
But because being here means so much;
Because everything here,
Vanishing so quickly, seems to need us,
And strangely keeps calling to us……To have been
Here once, completely, even if only once,
To have been at one with the earth-
This is beyond undoing.
Ranier Maria Rilke

I’ve broken through to longing
Now, filled with a grief I have
Felt before, but never like this.
The center leads to love.
Soul opens the creation core.
Hold on to your particular pain.
That too can take you to God
Rumi

The moment of the rose and the moment of the yew-tree
Are of equal duration- for history is a pattern_
Of timeless moments
What we call the end is often the beginning
And to reach the end is to make a beginning
The end is where we start from
We are born with the dead- and we die with the living
And the end of all our endeavors
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time
And walk through the unknown, remembered gate
And we shall be well and
All manner of thing shall be well

Last night as I was sleeping, I dreamt, marvelous illusion,
that I had a beehive here inside my heart.
And the golden bees were making white combs of sweet honey
from all my _old failures.....
Antonio Machado

You do not have to be good,
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.
Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the ocean blue air,
are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting-
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.
Mary Oliver

If you listen,
Not to the pages or preachers
But to the smallest flower
Growing from a crack
In your heart,
You will hear a great song
Moving across a wide ocean
Whose water is the music
Connecting all the islands
Of the universe together,
And touching all
You will feel it
Touching you
Around you…
Embracing you
With light.
John Squadra

When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children's lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. _I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. _For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.
Wendell Berry
