Although my son is not a baby anymore he just has a way with words...
When he was three he looked out at the sky in the evening, there were stratus clouds and pink lines stretched across the sky....He said
"look mummy the sky has been scratched".....
again on another occasion he looked up at the sky and said.
"look mummy the sky if full of cobwebs"
you know when us busy parents say "in a minute ok ...later"
He came back withthe reply "mummy! later's been!"
He is 11 now!
Today I was late picking him up from school I had just made it back from Town where I had been with my sponsor...
I said sorry George I was with my sponsor and I have just got here
He asked me what we had done that day and i told him that we had gone for coffee and a chat and he said
"oh did you have ladies cakes?"
"Ladies cakes?" i asked "yes"he said "those really nice looking posh cakes you see in the coffee shops they're ladies cakes"
it made me laugh, he has such a brilliant outlook on life and is so observant!
love my kids and appreciate them even more now in recovery I am blessed!
