Do not make the mistake of dropping all carbs! Your body NEEDS carbs to function -- it's the fuel of the body. Even your brain cannot function correctly without carbs. But, we tend to eat the wrong kinds of carbs. Fruits and veggies are great! Breads, cake, cookies = bad!
Further, with a boarderline/ pre diabetic condition, you are not there yet. And there is time to stave it off. A healty low fat, low carb diet and exercise will keep that particular demon away.
Oh, if you smoke, quit. Smoking actually raises our sugar levels! Yea, can ya believe it! It also raises cholosteral.
So, remember, an apple a day, (along with 3 more fruit servings and 4 veggie servings), keeps the doctor away!
