| As a recovering codependent, part of my growth was to discover who I really was, and get to know this stranger called "me". For most of my life, I was so busy living for everyone else, and being a reflection of them, that somewhere along the way I completely lost sight of me.
It is good to know that I am who I am, and like that person, warts and all, continually growing and learning along the way.
And it's good to be able to be true to what I am, follow my dreams, respect my own values, and stand up for myself even if I stand alone sometimes.
Living and doing what is right for me, staying true to my values and embracing my individuality is the best way I know of "singing my own song".
